Perinatal osteopathy in Moncton

Gentle, Personalized Care During Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Early Childhood

Pregnancy, childbirth, and the first months of life bring many physical and emotional changes. At Anima, we offer a gentle, attentive, and individualized osteopathic approach, tailored to the needs of expectant mothers, new parents, and their babies.

Our goal is to provide a warm, welcoming environment where every individual and family feels heard, supported, and cared for at their own pace.

Osteopathy During Pregnancy

Pregnancy brings significant changes to posture, mobility, and the physical demands placed on the body.

Osteopathy offers an individualized, hands-on approach that may be considered as a complement to routine prenatal care, particularly for certain musculoskeletal discomforts associated with pregnancy.

Each consultation takes into account the stage of pregnancy, medical history, and the expectant mother's comfort. Techniques are adapted to her individual needs and the specific precautions associated with pregnancy.

Osteopathy After Childbirth

The postpartum period is an important time of transition, both physically and emotionally.

Osteopathic consultations can provide a supportive space to address muscle tension, discomfort associated with new postures, and the physical changes that come with caring for a newborn.

This approach complements medical care and pelvic floor rehabilitation when indicated.

Osteopathy for Babies and Infants

The first weeks of life are a period of adjustment for both babies and their families.

At Anima, consultations for infants emphasize careful observation, attentive listening to parents' concerns, and individualized assessment. Any hands-on techniques must be adapted to the child's age, health, and comfort.

Osteopathy does not replace pediatric medical care, and evidence supporting its effectiveness in treating common infant conditions remains limited. When a concern requires medical evaluation or another form of care, appropriate referrals are prioritized.

A Family-Centered Approach

At Clinique Anima, we place great importance on the therapeutic relationship, respecting each individual's pace, and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals.

We aim to gradually expand our perinatal osteopathy services to support more families throughout the Greater Moncton area.
