Pascale D'Astous, psychologist
Pascale D'Astous is a psychologist and co-founder of the Anima clinic. She holds a doctorate in psychology from Laval University in Quebec City, which she obtained in 2018.
She adopts a relational, humanistic, and person-centered approach (PGRO), where the quality of the therapeutic relationship is central. For her, psychotherapy is first and foremost a human, safe, and authentic space, allowing for the exploration of experiences with openness, sensitivity, and depth.
Pascale works with adults experiencing various difficulties, including relationship and attachment issues, low self-esteem, anxiety and mood disorders, emotional regulation problems, as well as issues related to trauma and stress. Her work aims to help you better understand how you relate to yourself and others, while supporting the development of your personal resources and your ability to regain a sense of coherence, freedom, and peace.
Her approach is primarily rooted in relational psychotherapy (PGRO), while also incorporating tools from other therapeutic approaches as needed. Pascale also specializes in the treatment of psychological trauma and integrates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a recognized neuropsychotherapeutic approach in trauma treatment, into her practice.
Pascale offers her services in French and English.
Pascale D'Astous also provides clinical supervision for psychology professionals seeking to further develop their theoretical knowledge and clinical skills. She is a recognized supervisor with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB) and supervises psychology residents with the approval of the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick (CPNB).
